When do I have to use an approved catering option?

• If the hosting organization is providing food to more than 15 people
• If food will be served or distributed to guests (plated or serving station)
• If buffet service is provided

When do I NOT have to use an approved catering option?

• If the hosting organization is providing food to 15 people or less
• If hosting organization is picking up food and bringing to event/meeting location
• Departmental/Organization potlucks/bring-and-share gatherings
• If delivery or fast food options are used (ex: pizza, fast-food chains)
